2011 USCPFA Houston Award Gala

On Nov. 04, 2011 the 5th USCPFA Houston Annual Gala was held at Kim Sum Downtown. Chairwomen of the Board - Nancy J. Li presented the welcome speech; New Consul General of PRC, Madam Xu Er'wen was keynote speaker on US-China relations.

At this gala, Nancy J. Li on behalf the board and the association presented "Friendship Ambassador Award" to Mr. Ed Emmett -Harris County Judge and Mr. Chase Untermeyer -previous ambassador to Qatar. Ms. Andrea Thompson won the first "Friendship Youth Ambassador Scholarship" of $1000.00.

Attendees also included Mr. Adrian Garcia, Harris County Sheriff; Mr. Xie Yunliang, Deputy General of PRC; Mr. Bill King, Chair of Houston Fire Foundation; Mr. Randy Sim, Mayor Pro Tem Southside Place; Mr. Al Hoang, Houston City Councilman; Mr. Danny Nguyen, Missouri City Councilman; Mr. Mario Diaz, Director of Houston Airport System; Mr. Charles Foster, Chairman Asia Society; Mr. James Anderson, V. President of UH, and more than 300 participants!
